הספאמרים והנוכלים משתפרים בנסיונותיהם לשכנע אותנו להעביר מידע אישי כמו טלפון או כתובת דוא"ל. אחת הדרכים היא פשוט לכתוב דואר ארוך ומרשים מגוף ציבורי, מסחרי מוכר. הרבה אנשים תמימים יפלו בפח.
הנה שתי דוגמאות של מכתבים שקיבלתי בימים האחרונים. גירסאות שונות שלהם מסתובבים כבר כמה שנים.
אני מאד נזהר לא לפרסם את כתובת הדוא"ל שלי ברשת. אם tני נאלץ לפרסם אותv אז אני עושה זאת עם שינוי כמו [at] במקום @ או רווחים בין החלקים השונים.
הבעיה היא שמי שלא זהיר ומאפשר לגורמים זדוניים להשתלט על פנקס הכתובות שלו, זה מסכן את כל חבריו.
